Life can be challenging at times. No matter how much faith we have, there will be problems, but we must not allow that to discourage us.

If we continue to look at our problems, we can become consumed by them.

Today and every day, Satan will send challenges and distractions to knock us off course. If we will stand firm on God’s Word and believe He is moving on our behalf, Satan’s plans can be stopped. Proverbs 8:35-36 says, “For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.” KJV

Always remember that even when you have reached your lowest point, when days are dark, and when even so-called friends have turned against you, there is always one true and sincere life companion you can count on – God. He is the one guiding force and Light that will get you through today, tomorrow and forever.

You do not have to walk alone in darkness anymore; the Light has shown up.

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”  John 8:12 KJV

However, when you are not just walking through the dark, but the darkness dominates your life, it simply shows the absence of light in one’s life.

Darkness here is simply pointing to sin, which brings death to mankind. If darkness is ruling any person, then the same is dead, because in such a one there is no light that gives life to mankind.

The good news is this, anyone who has Christ Jesus has life. He is the Light that overcame the power of darkness and gave life to anyone who desires life. Many were slaves of darkness, but when the light shined, darkness lost its power and Light took over.

So everyone who has accepted Him—Jesus Christ—has eternal life. Anyone who is walking in the Light has life. To walk in Light is to practice the truth, living according to what the word of God says.

When one is in the Light, he or she is upright in heart. Such a person does not live by the desire of the world, but according to the will of God.

Therefore, the question I put forward is: who is your master?

Are you walking alone in the darkness, living as your own master, or are you walking in the Light of Jesus Christ, and letting Him be your master?

My friend, I hope that you will choose the true Light of the world and the better Master, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God. May I find you walking in the Light of Christ, like I strive to also, and may we someday meet in the heavenlies and declare the wonderful works of God together.
